ALA South West – Farm Visit & Networking Event

The ALA South West group will be hosting a farm visit and networking event on Friday, 15 October (9am-11.30am).

Agricola Growers Ltd, founded in 2004 by Jeremy and Sarah Oatey, is a specialist farming company based in South East Cornwall. They provide a complete farm management service primarily through contract farming although they also farm in their own right.

The diverse range of cropping managed by Agricola Growers Ltd extends from vegetables to potatoes, daffodil flowers and bulbs through to cereals, oilseed and protein crops. They are also experienced grassland managers running both beef and sheep enterprises particularly on environmentally sensitive land.

Their sister business H F Produce Limited is a major prepared potato and vegetable supplier to large bakeries in the South West. Through this link they have a regular outlet for a significant amount of the farms’ produce.

Timetable:

Arrive 9am onwards for tea, coffee and bacon roll

Note: Parking will be at the RAME Innovation Hub which will be signposted.

9:30 am – Welcome from the ALA and Members update

Followed by introduction of Jeremy Oatey and Agricola Growers Ltd

9:45am – Farm Tour

11:30am – return for tea and coffee, networking plus Q&A

12:00noon – depart

The event is open to ALA Members only and is limited to 40 delegates.
