ALA’s residential training course Starter for Ten – Wales gives a basic introduction for trainees and the newly qualified in those elements of the law which are relevant to rural business advice.

Land law and tenancies are covered, as are the new Agriculture and Environment policies and legislation which impact the sector. Tax and trusts are dealt with insofar as they affect farming and rural businesses, and the course also details the relevant litigation aspects.

The 2026 Starter for Ten (Wales) will be held at Crai Valley Eco Lodges, Brecon on Tuesday, 28th to Thursday, 30 April 2026 inclusive.
