ALA Autumn Conference 2021

The Association’s Autumn Conference will be held on Tuesday, 9 November 2021

We are delighted to invite you to our Autumn Conference which this year will be held in person at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hotel.

Chaired by ALA Chair, Alex Carson Taylor, the Conference will include a case law update from Christopher McNall (18 St John Street Chambers) together with a focus on biodiversity net gain and natural capital in the rural sector with Julie Robinson (Roythornes), Kate Russell (Tellus Natural Capital) and Christopher Sparrow (Recce Rural).

The Conference will cover farmers working cooperatively to maximise environmental and financial gains, how the value chain evolves over the next 24 months, key drafting challenges arising in short and long term contracts and collaborative agreements for the delivery of public goods.

The timetable will also include a general update from Mike Holland, Secretary & Adviser, ALA on matters of professional interest.

Registration will be from 9.30am and the Conference will commence at 10am and close at 4pm. CPD hours: 5 hours

The Conference will be open for ALA Members and Non-Members (with a discounted rate for ALA Members).  Students can attend free of charge.

Membership of the Association is open to any professional of whatever discipline advising in rural business or any other person interested in the subject including those studying a recognised degree or diploma course whose application is approved.

The subscription is £90 per annum for Full Membership, £45 per annum for Retired Members and free of charge if you are a Student in full time education.
