The ALA West of England Region will be holding its Summer Seminar on Tuesday, 18 June at the Royal Agricultural University.
Our speakers will be:

Alexander West, Barrister, Albion Chambers
The seminar will consider the emerging issues in environmental law including the proposed new scrutiny body, the Office of Environmental Protection, the Environmental Principles and Governance Bill and public money for public goods as part of the Environment and Agriculture Bills;
the work of the Environment Agency;
and the Environment Agency’s approach to compliance and enforcement including civil sanctions, in particular when and how those who breach the law can make acceptable Enforcement Undertaking offers (which if accepted mean that the offender avoids criminal proceedings).
The seminar is open to Members and Non-Members.
